I am from Hong Kong, I wish to spend my holiday in Malaysia in April

penang is an island on the opposite side of the country ,by plane its an hour flight

1. Penang is actually a state. Butterworth is the Penang seashore. You'll have to cross Penang Bridge to get to Penang island(part of Penang too).

2. It'll be around 4 hours from Kuala Lumpur to Penang by car. If you go there by plane(Penang airport is in Bayan Lepas, Penang), it'll take about 1 hour time.

Penang is an island. It is about 4 to 5 hours journey. I've been to Penang .It is a wonderful place and there's a lot of interesting places to be visited.Need any help just contact me as I'm citizen of Malaysia.

Yes, part of Penang is an island, the other part is in the peninsular side.
If you take a plane from KL, it's about 35 minutes plane ride. If you drive, it's about 4 hours to get into Penang Island. You can cross the Penang Bridge to get there, or take the ferry boats.

penang is an island , its 3.5 to 4 hour drive from Kuala Lumpur and 4 hour by bus. about 45 min by plane.
Its a very nice place to visit, many haritage building and many great food to eat too. you will like it for sure

-night market where u can get cheap stuff & CD's (mp3, DVD etc2)
Excellent city beside the sea. Lots of historical monument by british troops.Excellent place to visit if you like history & beaches.

Yes, Penang is an island, a beautiful one in fact. It is about 330++ km frm KL. An hours plane flight.

By plane, just a hour away.

Penang is just small island can be driven over from the main land.

Do be careful. Do not accept any invitation from unknown people. Do not move alone. Do not carry handbag around

About 4 hours drive. Penang has the best food in the country. She's my hometown.

By road 4 to 5 hrs. Flight 45 minutes from KL.

Excellent place, you'll love it. Majority are Chinese, speaks Hokkien, Cantonese and Mandarin. Excellent variety of food, from Asian to European to African, Middle East and anything u crave for.

Excellent shopping facilities and very cheap. Nice beaches with hotels by the beaches from 5 star right down to normal Guest Houses. Jungle trekking right by the beaches from one side of the island to the other. Takes about 5 hrs to reach.

Night clubs, disco's are opened 7 days a week up till 3.30 am. U can also rent a boat for deep sea fishing activities.
