My period came on late and now its spotting brown not red and its very like the look of dried clay pieces in water. Please help!

Late as in the way as it hasnt come on and the spotting is whats going on NOW!

i would check with the doctor becase it sounds like you could have miscarriage, i had it twice like this:(

You're going to think this is weird but when I have a late cycle like that I find that masturbating and having an orgasm helps break that stuff up. best done in the shower. Those floating clay pieces are blood clots and the less physicaly active you are the more common it is for the blood to clot. So try to stay active and do a lot of excercises that involve flexing your abdominal muscles. Better if you do it as preventative before and when your period is coming on.

It's old blood, nothing to worry about. The longer the blood sits in the uterus waiting to be released, the more "aged" it becomes and it turns from reddish colored to brownish. This happens often near the end of a period or during a late one.
