play devils advocate and argue for him. what would be a valid reason for him to feature his wife? i mean, sure, she may have no life of her own, but cmon, whats next, his dog? and at the end of every episode he leaves with her, holding hands. whats doctorly about that? i see a therapist, and if he ever brought his wife to my sessions with him, i would stop seeing him.

Most of the guests on Dr. Phil's show are women. Where better to get insights on how a woman feels than from his own wife. I'm sure Robin has given Phil many gentle "nudges" after a show when she felt like he wasn't fully understanding what a female guest was trying to say. But more importantly, I think she comes to each show to support her life's partner. There is alot of behind-the-scenes work that goes into the making of each daily episode. She is there to share in the final product.

think about it , ... if he didnt bring his wife with him , then wouldn't people be wondering where she was, and what she was doing ? and, he , (being someone who helps others cope with relationship problems..ect, ) needs for it to be visible that he has a very strong , loving equal relationship with his wife . Would you go to marriage counselling sessions with a wife beater as your therapist.? probably not . further more, robin(wife) most likely sees the show as a great way to advertise anything that she is working on , example .,her books

Dr. Phils show is not a therapist office and he can have whoever he so chooses to be with him on his show, He dearly loves his wife and wants everyone to know it!

I feel it is because he is her husband and they are one flesh. He is very happily married and i feel this is great and a good thing. I love them both for this as more married couples should be like this. Robin is a great woman and i admire her just as much as i do Dr Phil. She is a BIG part of his life and i am so glad he includes her in his work and in his life like this... There should be more marriages and husbands and wives like this. Theirs is a great marriage and we could all learn from their example. I dont think he has her in his private sessions with others unless they would want her there too. I believe he is more private and ethical then that. He would respect and care about your feelings and not push her on you at all. He may suggest some women go get help from her though if he feels it would be helpful. Also go to his website at http://www.drphil.com and email him with this question and let him answer it for you... I am sure he will! I loove Dr Phil and his wife and i love the show.... It encourages my heart everytime i see it. Dont judge and knock it go to him and ask him! He does have alot of women on the show and I personally feel that as a woman that Robin should be there to help with things if she can as she is a woman herself and if it were me i would be much more comfortable talking to her about private things then to him as a man. JMHO! He also is a family man as his son is on the show alot too. I wish more shows were family oriented and strong like this one! Most of Hollywood and tv takes away from marriage and the family BUT shows like this add to it and show us what a family relationship should be like. Very wholesome and helpful show and I for one love it.

ok first off dr. phil and his wife were high school sweethearts. they are really close. and if you are married you are a team no matter what. sometimes she does the show with him and is really good. also she goes for support for her husband.as for why he grabs her hand and walks off the show with her. i actually saw the show where he explained this. the producers wanted him to just exit off stage and to do so he would have to walk past Robin (his wife) he said he has been married to this lady for 20 something years. she is the mother to his children and he won't just walk past her like she dont exist. i think its sweet. so thats why he holds her hand when they walk off stage. thats an example of a good marriage that so many of his guest lack. BY THE WAY TO THE LADY WHO SAID HIS SHOW IS FOR UNEDUCATED HOUSEWIVES. I AM EDUCATED, HAVE A VERY GOOD JOB, AND I WATCH HIS SHOW ON MY DAYS OFF. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

It goes like this, "I'm Dr. Phil. I like making money by selling pop psychology. I'm not even a practicing psychologist. I'm just using my doctor title to make money off of bored housewives. I think if I include my wife on this show these stupid housewives will be more inclined to watch especially if I never mention that my wife has ever had a real job. They'll relate to her and relate me to the husband they wish they had"

Basically, he includes his wife to catch an audience. He's not a good psychologist and his advice is almost always garbage. His show is definitely garbage and meant for the house wife/uneducated woman audience. Nothing more, nothing less.

Whatever. I only see that woman coming out at the end of the show to give him a guy or a french kiss or something like that.

I hate that show. Dude is all about bashing on the men. But occasionally, hell bash on women too.

There are lots of reasons.....
1. It's TV
2. He loves her
3. His son is also involved
4. It's all about marketing and mass appeal

to show what a good marriage is. Most of the people on his show don't have a good relationship with their significant other. Besides if my hubby was on TV i'd attend his show to support him too

Cause he is whipped and has no sack !! He needs to tell her to get a friggin hobby or donate time somewhere. She wants to be famous too, and this is his way of pleasing her. He's a spinless, know-it-all, bald, @ss crab !
