my transmission on my 2000 astro van shifts hard from 1st to 2nd gear why?

ok the fluid is dirty, an the fitler, ,, i say change the filter an fluild,,, but you might want to try , a trann add, like tran ...x, i found it to be the best, also it got money back, if it dont work.. see in side the trann, slug has built up,in side the trann, an the over ring are getting hard,,, too look to see if the tran is full

every 30.000 change trans filter and fluid see if that helps
