First you need to restart your computer. When the computer starts to reboot you should get a black screen with white text on it displaying a few options such as
"start windows in safe mode"
"use last know good configuration"
"start windows normally"
pick "start windows normally" and that should do the trick

there is a menu that will allow you to do this. I'm assuming windows XP.
1) You need to open the run window. Is unders START>>RUN. a new menu will open.
2) In that window type msconfig and press ok. A new window will open.
3) In this new window look at the tabs. One of them should say BOOT.INI. once you click on that you will see a bunch of options. Make sure that the option that says /SAFEBOOT is unchecked.
Try restarting your computer to make sure it worked.
