I've never used gridding when cross stitching, but a few people in a group I belong to grid their own fabric with thread. I hope this helps you. Sue

Cross stitch fabric (Aida) is available by the bolt. I would contact a fabric store/supplier and consult with them. They may be able to access the floss on a spool for you also.

Where do you live??
I get all my project stuff from:
-boyes
-a craft shop called Drawing
-a shop/chain called "needle,card and fun"
look up your nearest store and they can get in "industrial" sized pieces-e.g bolts of Aida, spools of thread
what are you making??
