I was sitting around watching "The Worst Witch" starring Faruzia Bulk and Tim Curry, and i was thinking to myself, My god, there are so many similarities between this and Harry Potter! and its true. there are many many similarities. Do you guys think that maybe, The Worst Witch books and movie gave Jo some kind of inspiration while writing Potter, or do you think that it is all just coincidence?

For those of you who want a list of similarities, heres a few of them.
Mildred hubble and Harry potter both attend a school of magic.
they both detest potions. and their potions teachers, Hardbroom and Snape.
they both have nice, caring headmasters. Cackle and Dumbledore.
They both have enemies that try to do them in.....the blonde girl, whose name i cant remember. and draco malfoy.

Yeah but most stories have an enemy a horrid teacher and a nice teacher it's like a book fact . There is always a nice one and a mean one. The plots are also totally different
