My grandpa laughed so hard once his teeth came flying out. So similar, yet sooooo far apart.

Oh no! I do feel for you. It's always when there are the most possible witnesses in a packed area that things like this seem to happen. I haven't had this happen, but when I was fourteen, a friend gave me her red stilettos that were a little big for me but made me feel sophisticated. I'd never worn stilettos before and decided to wear them out to a show that I went to with my Dad. Between the car and the theatre doors, the heel of one shoe got stuck in a grate and came off. We were walking quite fast so the momentum meant I'd walked a few feet onwards before going back- I had to hobble back with one shoe on through the posh looking theatre-goers behind me to prise the shoe out. It was quite wedged in. I haven't worn stilettos since.

I was going up the escalator from a tube station and the momentum and the weight of my back-pack pulled me over onto my back and I ended up in a heap at the bottom, bashing into several other people on the way down. Whole incident probably only lasted 10 seconds but it felt like it was never-ending. Mortifying.

I was walking to school one day and both my shoes fell out of my backpack while it was raining. I had to ask my teacher if I could go back and look for them. I found one and it was very soggy and the otherone showed up at school two weeks later. Don't feel alone in this embarrasing moment.

DAMN SHOES! I was on a double decker bus about a month ago, i wasn't too stable on my new boots! As i was coming down the stairs to get off the bus i lost my footing and went head first down the stairs and ended up flat on my back with a not very pleasant view up an old womans skirt! (Still haunts me) People couldn't help but laugh at me and maybe one day i will be able to afford the therapy to get over it!!!!! Unfortunately true story!!

My shoes fell off at college the other day. I was walking up the stairs to french and there were loads of hyper kids. I fell out of my shoes and had to hop back a few steps while my friend held up the rabble of rowdy children who were jeering at me by this point. I was bright red.

Ah I am sorry you were embarrased!! But thanks for the laugh!! I can't stop laughing!! I am not laughing at you - but at the event!! Really you must see the funny side.
I can't say I have had my shoe knocked onto the tracks!! But when I was a kid some gypsy kids nicked one of my shoes and one of my socks whilst I was playing in the sandpit!! I had to walk home bare footed (well it's better than walking home wearing one shoe and one sock). My mum wasn't impressed since they were new shoes!! My friends kept making fun of me!! :- (

I snapped my 4" stiletto heel as I steped off the train and hobled onto the platform, very embarrasing. My friend who was with me had just picked her heels up from the repairer, and so I was wearing my navy pin strip skirt suit with a pair of one size too small, glittery patent red 4" stiletto heels. NICE, very embarrasing.

I would have gotten your shoe back. Even if it meant possible electrocution on the tracks or an on coming train.
Anything for british girl. The accent gets to me.
Wait if you're a brit, am I the one with an accent? I think that makes me sort of exotic.
