Had this happen to me once. I switched brokers. The second broker asked me what I was doing. I stated simply that the first broker is not returning my calls. I did get the loan through the second broker.

Turns out the first broker's father had died. He turned his business over to an associate, who apparently did not come through.

Brokers should be professional enough to return your calls. Maybe discretely ask for someone else in the office, then simply say that you are following up on the loan......

I , Im a broker in the northeast, and that means 1 of 2 things.
#1--he cant help you and his service is bad enough not to give you a courtesy call or
#2--He has other things going on that will net him a bigger paycheck.
Sorry to let you know that, I make a habit of calling people back within 48 hrs max, and tell the truth and I work all deals big or small the same, because referals are the best for our business!!!
