did spooner (main character) have a robotic arm?

Yeah, he lost his left arms and part of his chest in a car accident. in that flashback of a rainy day when he was driving and he was trying to save the girl, Hannah, but couldn't.
That's why he has the necklace that says "Hannah" on it (i think it was the girl's).
Also, thats why the rich, old guy who "committed suicide" knew detective spooner. he gave spooner the arm.
also, that's what that spray thing was when that woman came to visit him at his house.
he was spraying his arm with a can of something to cover the the metal and make it look human.

I believe that he was partially rebuilt using a robotic arm.
