I truly do try to make the most out of every day and I am very thankful for my life. I am rich in love from my wife and family and feel very blessed to have them. I live a simple life and agree that most people just don't seem like they can get enough these days. People have become so materialistic and it seems like success is defined by your job title or the car you drive, your address, etc. Those things just aren't that important to me. As long as I have my little family and we can make it each month I'm a happy man and I feel blessed to be alive.

I take the long view. I believe in God, I think everyone has hassles (my opinion is they are necessary so we can deal with them in a self-disciplined and loving way, and therefore prove that we are good enough to hang out with God when we die--just like everyone else, God certainly has no interest in having a jerk around Him!). I think everyone's hassles add up to about equal to everyone else's, personally. So that means that the beauty queen has sorrows we have no idea about just by looking at her. Or else something awful is going to befall her that we will escape, etc. etc.
So I just understand that life is a proving ground, and the goal isn't happiness, unless of course you are talking about eternal happiness.
That stance enables me to appreciate all that I have and be content. Now, if I could just control myself when I am frustrated, since I know what is riding on it, I'd have it made.

Nope, absolutely not. It's not a money issue either, mind you, that might be a nice way to get out of this stinking rut I'm in. I know people out there are worse off then me, blah, blah, blah and the people that say we should be thankful drive me nuts, because that just makes you feel guilty for feeling sorry for yourself and guess what? No one wants to feel sorry for themselves, we'd all like to appreciate what we've got and feel sorry for the poor souls who are worse off, but it isn't always that easy and it isn't just a case of how you look at it. Some situations just suck, there's no way around it and no amount of positive thinking is going to help either.
I'm glad that you're happy with your children, I just wish more people were happy with what they've got, but some of us don't have anything at all and I'm not talking materialistically here!!

I attempt to make the best out of my life. I appreciate greatly what I have especially when I see other people around me who are far less fortunate. i may not have money but I have fun. School takes up a vast amount of time, but it is going to help me gain the money I always wanted to have.

The majority of people are never satisfied and never will be. It's a sad state of affairs, however, people are afforded the oppurtunity to choose the path they travel. Money has nothing to do with happiness. I have friends who are the poster people for poverty who are quite content and live very happy lives. Just remember the more you have the more you have to worry about.

I think we should make the best out of our life and appreciate what we already have!
Honestly,
i am making the best out of my life,
when i feel down i keep telling myself;
''you are not in a situation where you have no food to eat and there is no other solution''.
I still have your healthy body, brains, education, good pair of eyes and hands.
And not forgetting a loving husband.
(although my car broke down and it a fortune to fix it and i do not have enough money to buy a new one, plus i am still renting and could not afford to buy a house).
some time i feel that the media is making us forget about the things that we have..
its all about investment, bigger car, bigger house... etc.
but in the end its for us to decide and choose what is best for us.

We should of course be thank full with what we have because many people have less than us, but human nature always wants more. When we have won what we wanted we then want the thing in line. We normally look at what other hae rather than what other DO NOT have.

I appreciate what I have. I only have one child, but I don't think I make the best out of my life. I could've made other choices and not have to struggle so much, but I do not regret.
