So, you're talking to someone who can hire you for the job you've always wanted. There is a position open. And he can give it to anyone he thinks is suitable. Now, you're either speaking to him via e-mail, in person, on phone, or whatever. What would you say and how would you act? There are some people who would kiss major booty, explaining that they want the job and then go into how amazing it is that the person who could hire them got whatever position they have. They could talk about how well the person who could hire them, their speaking and writing skills are. Would you do this to the person who could hire you for your dream job, or would you keep it simple and just say how much you want this job, or write some 15 page essay explaing how badly and how passionately you want it, or would you follow some other approach at dealing with this person. Let's say, this is a job that lots of other people want and you have tried getting it a million of other times and it hasn't worked.

Hey there~
I like this question for 2 reasons~ One I am a very passionate person and two I have been through that same experience~
I believe that the first thing anyone must do when someting arises in their life that they REALLY want, they must first affirm to theirselves that they WILL gain whatever it is that they are after, be it a job, a car, a home, or a love~ They must not only think of it, they must feel it, and live as if they already have it to be able to put the laws of attraction into your favor~ Then the second thing a person must ALWAYS do, is to ALWAYS believe and to NEVER give up~ You will always have everything you've ever wanted if you believe it and feel it down to your core~
I have never gone for a job that I didn't want, and I have always gotten every job I have ever applied for~ One took 3 months to get and even though they hired 2 other people before I finally got it, I knew that I would get that job because I believed I would from the instant I saw the ad and I felt it too~
Now, I am in a better place~ I own my own business and answer the calls of my heart and stay true to my dreams~ If you believe you can have everything you have ver wanted and more, YOU CAN!!~
May God Lead You To Your Destiny~

Warmest Regards~
Issy

"Whether you think you can, or think you can't~ YOU'RE RIGHT!!~"

Over zealousness is NOT in order here. Gushing, sycophancy, etc. must be checked at the door.

What you SHOULD do is make an appointment for an interview, and before going to that interview, learn as much as you can about the company and it's attributes and how you fit right in. This is a key element to getting hired. Make a one page (preferably) resume that highlights SPECIFICALLY how you will benefit the company.

If you have tried getting this job before, then perhaps you are not qualified.

Believe it or not! It takes just less than 2 minutes to make the first impression, and there is no second chance to make a first impression.

Be natural. Never show desperation. Desperation increases skeptical thinking in the listener. Just put forth your points as to why you are eligible and perfect match for the job (in less than 2 minutes, a minute if possible).

Be confident. Confidence always radiates positive energy.
Be Honest. If you do not know something, show eagerness to learn and be positive.

Don't suck up, kiss booty or beg. None of those make you look good. You want them to be confident in you, to believe you can do the job, and you do that by telling them how good you are, not good they are.

So treat them with respect, but also as an equal. Don't get bogged down in details as that makes you look insecure. Sell yourself simply and concisely without every last detail. Better to say too little than too much - they can always ask more questions. And don't be afraid to ask questions yourself.

from what I gathered there are a few pointers

1) know about the job. If they ask you, be ready to tell them.

2) be confident

3) look them in the eye. Remember you are the person they need

4) firm handshake always

5) Don't stutter, don't look off into space

There are numerous people who would make fun of the possibility of changing their destinies. This is due to the fact that it believes that no one gets more that what is written in his fate.
