I grew up with 2 males, and I was always considered their sister or to out-siders a tom boy. This was fine with me. In high school I ended up going to a different school to them, and ended up in the wrong crowd. My parents then moved us 5 hours away to get me out of the trouble I was in. This meant leaving my best mates behind. I stayed in touch with one of them, but the other guy never replied or showed interest in staying in touch. This hurt me really badly - and I often thought about him. It hs been 5 years since I saw him or even spoke to him last. When last week I was skimming through friends profiles on myspace, and found that he had one..

Now my question to u...
Should I contact him?
Im shy, and have no idea what to say as I know we've both changed ALOT!

Sometimes when friends move away, they are very busy with their life & they don't mean to neglect their lifelong friends on purpose, but it does happen none the less. They get all caught up in everyday life with whatever they are doing. I've had it happen to me a few times & I know people that it's happened too. Years later when they finally contacted their friend, they were so happy to see them & regretted all the time lost. Work get's in the way, family life, boyfriends, girlfriends, other friends. You know?

Since you were best of friends for 15 years. I would almost bet that your friend would be very happy to hear from you. You could write & say how much his friendship meant to you & how much you have missed him. I'm sure the right words will come to you if & when the time comes. I wish you the best of luck. I say go for it!
