I think that the computer is ur main problem.... and that is increased by the internet connection that is connected with it. Someone with perspectives of observations and curiosities of the unknown like u, cannot concentrate on those dull knowledges of textbooks, while they can feel that there are lots and lots of better knowledges lying in front of them in that machine...
Hope i understood u right... at least it happens to me.

Don't be discouraged by my statement... always remember as i always says.... that peoples who can be considered as "The TRUE belivers" had done nothing new for this world,,, and they will never-ever can do so ........

Meditations like "Padmasan", Breathing exercises, light exercises in the morning, A supplyment of vitamin b complex capsules, Drinking plenty of cold waters, Cutting down the computer and Y!A a bit, reading NONE textbooks for entertaintment can help u regain self control of ur mind, and thus they can help u concentrate on ur studies....
........... if u don't want to throw out that computer through ur windows....... :-)

Computer table is normally a good place to concentrate.
The difficulty may with the chair cushion. Make it more spongy and also push the system Little backward to provide space for your book.

Watch your breath - inhalations/exhalations - few times, follow your breath without interfering with the rhythm. After six to ten repetitions you can find a calmness settling down in your mind and capable of setting aside your other thoughts. Continue this as an ongoing practice. If you practice with patience you will succeed very quickly. Feel easy on your studies.
