now names are being shown with top contributor has it put you off when picking for a best answer or make you drawn to them when picking ?

LOL at one of the top contributers answering your question before anyone else...and saying that they wouldn't let it sway them one way or the other. Ironic eh?
Seriously though, I wouldn't let it bother me. I always read all the answers, I sometimes find it difficult if so many are correct or good answers..I always try to find one that is different to the others - either more informative, funnier, sincere, etc.

While I might not read many answers given to other people, through lack of time or whatever, the top contributor's would draw my attention to look. But, judging by quite a number of answers I'd read, I came to the conclusion that top contributor could just mean these people have more time on Answers while others don't. I think the top honour should only be awarded to those who have successfully help other people to actually solved their problems.

It appears that top contributors already outnumber everyone else.
It makes no difference to me if anyone is a top contributor or not.

Strange how other sites like Digg have got rid of this feature though and Yahoo introduces it....

nope it doesn't, i just pick the answer that I THING it's the best answer whether they are a top contributor or not.

I just pick the best answer...who cares 'bout the sign! I just wish the sign was a better colour...they should make it so u can choose the colour of your sign...then maybe i'll want one!
