The Indian economy has clearly turned a corner. Indian business is no longer synonymous with call centers alone. There is a new sense of confidence from the government and from businesses in India and abroad. India's manufacturing resurgence and budding consumer markets are ready to yield very tangible benefits to the country's population and to people around the world.
The size of the Indian economy has already doubled since 1991, driven by a proficiency in supplying services and, increasingly, products to the global economy. This has been India's primary engine for economic growth. Meanwhile, the domestic economy has been hampered by illiteracy, poor infrastructure, bureaucracy and corruption. However, the buoyancy and self-belief of the Indian business community is driving domestic businesses to grow and the government is doing a better job of working with the private sector to create a more enabling environment for business.

Call centers mushroom on India soils
They are castles built in the air and are sure to crash down to earth
Call centers can never help the Indian economy. They are copied from the Western Work Culture and are not suitable for Indians
Call centers have only added to the burdens of the Students, Parents and teachers of India. They are growing all the time and are similar to the thousands of coaching classes that mushroom all over the country in the name of 'Education'

The economy has boomed but it is seen as a negative point when you consider the low wage of people who work in call centres. The majority have degrees but a poor post to work in. UK companies are starting to insource this work. money is no good, this will bring on depression, career progression is non existent. If a person is stressed, this will have a negative impact on his health.

economy? of coure it has helped
life style? yes, it has taken many people away from their homes and given them a chance to experience life free of family obligations. in my eyes, this is healthy.
living standard? of course, much wealth has been generated from these operations.
money? of course. disposable cash now belongs to the youth.
love affairs? that goes without saying, but being india, it is a shame that love affairs- which is a symbolic of the individual's freedom- is used to cheapen/degrade the industry.
more?....
india hasn't changed much from the call centers- just a bit for now. but, the next generation will change- more from the higher waged outsourced jobs in IT. india really needs the next generation to step ahead, to transform it's way of living. it needs a generation that grew up in relative abundance and with more international perspectives to enter the world of business, politics, and media.
right now, india is stuck, and is struggling to get it's feet free.
