I've offended all sorts of People if the comments and emails I have received are any indication. I've also made some Folk laugh, again validated from the same sourcing. This medium appeals to a very broad spectrum of diverse individuals whom often are emboldened by their anonymity and such being the case one should expect to read different views. If we all thought the same way there really wouldn't be any point to this, we'd already know all the answers and all the questions. I try and use this venue for the purpose of humouring myself, I'm not going to save the world nor do I expect anyone to take me or anyone else serious here. I wouldn't take advice from a homeless guy at the bus shelter, I wouldn't let the girl frying the chips at the burger shop influence my medical decisions, and I wouldn't take spiritual advice from some one washing my car so I most assuredly treat this place as it should be treated, it's a big joke! That's all it seems good for, even when I do throw out some pearls there is generally no one to receive them and from my readings of the opinions and thoughts of the questions and answers very few People want to hear a different view point regardless of how they address their questions. It's for amusement, that's all, at least in this category. Take care and all the best.

Answer to the first question:
Yes, I have seen loads of people who love to offend, either by direct insult or by offensive remarks.
Answer to the second question:
I have no idea why offensive people wish to be offensive.
And the third: To shame and name would take us to their level. Not worth the bother I say.
And finally the fourth:
I don't bother to report people, except in very rare instances, perhaps three times over the months since I have been participating. I fast realised that there is enough reporting of real and made up violations.

I've found many people offensive and many more viewpoints offensive. I rarely report abuse (unless foul language is involved or I feel children are endangered) as my opinion as to what is offensive probably isn't the same as yours or anyone else's.

Many people ask questions and invite opinions and then complain when people give them honest answers. They are offended that the advice they are given is diametrically opposed to what they actually wanted to hear. They don't want advice. They want validation for "sleeping with their best friend's man" or "cheating on the income tax" or whatever. Sometimes they want advice on how to "work the system" and scam "free money" from the government and tax payers. It goes on and on.

When they get negative responses, they are both surprised and offended. They should be neither. When you air your dirty laundry, you have to expect to get negative responses. It's the way of the world.

Anyway, that's my opinion anyway. :D Good question.

Yes, many! I think they may act this way for many different reasons. Some may not know any better, some are simply miserable, some are ignorant. No, I would not waste my time naming and shaming, It is not my place to judge. No, I do not report them for abuse, I am not the yahoo moral patrol. Again, not my job. And what is offensive to me may not be offensive to others. God bless****

I've found TONS of people offensive on this site. I just try my best to ignore them.

I think they do it because they either feel real strongly about a certain question that was asked, or they're just trying to be a jerk and get people all fired up.

I don't really think they should be named and shamed. That just gives them more fuel to piss people off.

I think I've reported like, one person...I don't think reporting is nice lol. I mean, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I think they do it for shock factor but some do it because they really are ignorant. I have reported people for racism I reported someone for child sex questions and I think they should be named and shamed and banned...but I guess if they were banned they would log in under another name anyway.

Unfortunate more than a few. I suppose some people get a kick out of shocking people. Deep down maybe they were even quite shy or timid, but anonymity of their identity makes them bold enough to say things which they wouldn't normally do. I have not reported anyone officially, but had email the individual to express my disapproval.

I have found many abusive people on here. One yank called me a "Traiter to my country" (the UK) He said that my failiure to agree that the US should bomb more places placed me with the lilly livered Europeans (ok I live in Germany) and that they should all be bombed as well. After I had stopped jumping up and down about this idiot, I decided to live and let live. But it is very worrying that there are people like that out there. I wonder if it was really George W?

In any open forum your going to encounter some idiots, thats life..! The trick is to let it go, or if you must then report them. I got a few e-mails from an American soldier in Iraq over some of my views,(he was rather pissed) but hey, freedom is what he,s fighting for innit...??

i find if you ask a normal question you end up with terrible uncalled for answers, i believe in having your own opinions but they could have put there opinions more nicer you no in a better why. and yeah some questions are uncalled for too but people shouldn't take to seriously. its the right to has a say.
