Metropolitian Hotel Dubai?

Question

Anyone stayed at this hotel in dubai? I need to know if it anygood? is it close to the beech and does it offer lots of activities?

I have stayed there, once last April. It was a nice hotel, not as fancy as the other ones in Dubai. The Metropolitan is probably one of the cheapest nice hotels along Jumeirah Beach.
The beach was nice- it was fun playing in the waves with my 3 year old son, and my husband enjoyed it too. Plenty of chairs and umbrellas and the drinks aren't too expensive.
It seemed to have a lot of activities, such as beach volleyball and I think I saw windsurfers and jet skis. We didn't do any of that though, just swam and played in the sand.
There is a spa there too, but I didn't use it. My friend has before though and she said it wasn't as good as some other ones in Dubai. So I guess I wouldn't recommend it.
The room was average, I guess. I wouldn't call it really fancy, but it was nice. They even had a baby cot to bring for my son. We didn't order room service, it's always way too expensive, but we did go to the main restaurant. I forget what it was called but it was pretty good. Lots of different dishes and an average price.
If you are looking for a really fancy hotel, this probably isn't it. But if you simply want a nice place to stay while spending time at the beach, then the Metropolitan is a good choice.

I didn't stay there but I stayed at a sister hotel and used the beach at the Metropolitan hotel. It was a really nice complex admittedly. It probably is one of the least fancy hotels along jemariah beach but it is still pretty nice. The only thing is that if you want to go to a spa then don't use theirs. The lady who did my nails was clearly not qualified in anyway. But if you really want the Dubai Marina and Spa is close by. It looked like there were good activities like beach volleyball. But in Dubai there is no end on things to do.
