In fact one who drives a motor cycle without Helmet is practically more confident because of 360 degrees view alertness has been felt.

I know its practically confident without a helment because the helmet is big and its difficult to see both the sides which vechile is passing by and more over in the night it is very difficult to ride the bike with an helment on because the head light or the high beam lights is very powerful and a person cant see.
But my friend I feel wearing an "Helmet" is very good becuase it saved me from an accident and i only hurt my hand and my leg got stitches.Dont you think life is very precious,I know it has got lots of disadvantages but it can save every one s life.Espically in summer becuase its very very hot, there might be chances of losing the hair..(I dont know if its true or false some of my friends told me that)
I know this answer might be boring but I have written this from my heart. All the best.. And Wear the helmet, its up to you.

Naturally if you could have some invisible force shield around your head, it would be a lot better than a helmet. But we'll save that for the sci-fi movies.

Helmets are way more comfortable and lighter than they used to be. I don't feel that a well-fitting helmet restricts your vision. You have approximately the same side-to-side view as you would without it.

I won't ride without one. I have had two incidents where I attribute my helmet to saving my butt. Once, a truck threw up a rock or something and I git hit in the head. There was enough of a gouge on the helmet that I know I would have been injured (probably enough to lose control of the bike). And the second was a fall which actually cracked the helmet. I'm sure my head would not have enjoyed bearing the brunt of that impact.

Now, the safety issues aside...A helmet also keeps the wind out of your face, keeps bugs, rain, grit from smacking you, and cuts down on noise. And your eyes don't dry up either.

So, this all boils down to....Even if my view were a bit restricted, and the helmet was twice as heavy and uncomfortable, I would still wear it because I don't like busting my head open.

i have ridden with and without a helmet up to an including interstate speeds. and tho there is a more freedom like feeling going lid free, i enjoyed the ride alot more with the helmet. it cut down the noise of the windblast, and kept the bugs/rocks from being forcibly driven into my forehead.

high speed downage would be up to the road gods on if u live...helmet or no helmet. but low speed crashes...even at parking lot speeds, can be more than enough to cause a severe if not fatal head injury. think of it this way; u are behind a semi on i-95...or whatever interstate. speed at typical 65, and this truck loses a stone from between the 2 tires. if that thing smacks u at 65, u aint gonna just lose control of the bike....u will go down about as quick as if someone just shot u, and god knows what u'll bounce into as u are playing a game of freeway pinball....with u as the ball.

it doesnt hinder the view all that much. the object is to stay alive long enough to get home. not to be lookin all over the place instead of what's in front of u. situational awarness..learn it....live it.....use it.

For some reason i've got by no ability had a sweat or warmth undertaking with a bike helmet, it somewhat is why I positioned on a skate form helmet all year around, somewhat than the same old vented helmet. i've got viewed an entire face helmet, as jaw injuries are especially elementary in cycling injuries. There are 2 substantial reasons i haven't long gone for it: a million, I do exactly in contrast to how they provide the effect of being and a couple of, bicycle injuries are especially uncommon - i've got had in basic terms one in my finished person existence, and that i've got been cycling for 40 3 years. substantial reason i take advantage of a helmet is that it is the final place to mount a reflect. So i've got not got something against finished face helmets, yet I doubt i'm going to ever use one.

NO ..wearing a helmet will not restrict your vision in any way...and when you take into account that the visor of the helmet is there to protect your eyes from fly's,dirt and stones thrown up from car tire's ect....

i dont know where or how you come by your information ...i can only hope that when your riding bike without a helmet you never come off the bike ....

i once had a really bad accident on a bike ,luckly i was wearing my helmet ...the scratches on the helmet looked like someone had taken a screwdriver to it,,they were deep from forehead to chin ,and i doubt i would be here typing this now had it not been for wearing mine ....

so wear your helmet ,you wont have your vision restricted in any way shape or form ...
if you value your life that is .....................

You do have better peripheral vision without a helmet, however what good will that vision be if your head is smashed in? lol
The truth be told I often do not wear a helmet (I drive a Harley, and it's not cool) so I guess I cannot be that judgemental. I do wear a helmet on longer drives where I need greater protection and less peripheral vision.

I operate a street legal motorcycle hybrid capable of off-road travel. The helmet has saved me many times. I've shattered
two on rocks, cracked one hitting automobile, and another
seared by forest fire. KBC helmet #5 is half-face with winter
insulation zipper addition. Removed helmet clear visor to utilise neoprene mask painted to look like life-size human skull and wear dark goggles over eye openings. Mask or visor eliminates pain of bug hits when over 50 kph.

If you need to ask this question, you should definitely be wearing a helmet. It drives me nuts that kids will spend a bundle on frame sliders and trick bars to protect their plastics, but then ride without protecting their melon. Remember, you only have ONE brain. Use it - wear your helmet. Your field of view is only limited if you're looking out your ears.

I officially call BULLSH*T! on this lame excuse.

Confidence comes in riding fast without distractions (like gravel, birds, cigarette butts, etc) in your face.

Hindering the view on all sides? What, do you have eyeballs where your ears should be? Are you an herbivore or something? People have two eyes in front so they can judge the distance to objects in the distance.

Besides, the numero uno flaw in your assertion is that YOU CAN TURN YOUR FREAKING HEAD if you want to look around! Come on, already; is that REALLY so hard to do?
