Ive put this in the section for Alternative health because its the only place available.
My thought is that its about time they changed the section title from Alternative health to Complementary Medicine or something similar.
Therapies and treatments and hocus pocus (others thoughts not mine) type stuff is NOT and never will be an "Alternative" to conventional medicine. Any therapist worth anything will never tell you to stop conventional treatment but to carry it on alongside their therapy or treatment and indeed for most ailments seek the support of your own medical practitioners in your course of treatment.
The attitude that its somehow an alternative only serves to perpetuate the ignorance that is brought out in some with regard to this invaluable source of support and help.
Hope others agree but if you dont love and light to you anyway

I am inclined to agree with you, and very much in favour of complementary therapies, but wonder whether some of the medical profession still need to be more aware of the difference between complementary and alternative. Perhaps, also, if they have access to a register, they could then help to ensure that a patient goes to a properly qualified, registered and insured therapist, not to someone who is just jumping on the bandwagon to make money out of the vulnerable.

Your right, it's not a question. If you had a question I would try to answer it, but your looking for some one to agree with you. The format for this forum is answers and questions, not stating your opinions in the question. You missed the title of this section, it's alternative medicine not alternative health. That would certainly be a different category. I'm convinced you don't know what your talking about. Please give this subject a lot more thought before wandering into the domain of healing.

For many years I have lived with chronic pain and went along with modern medicine. I paid physically and monetarily. Finally, a friend enlightened me to alternative medicine. I now use both.Not as much man made, thank you. But I feel much healthier. I am no longer in the zombie zone. I now can be among the living. Fortunately my doctors are right by my side.

yes, i agree with what you are saying, I heard of some people who became very ill by ignoring their doctors advice and just went along with alternative medicine.
