I accidentaly covered the right side of the violin body near the "f" hole with rosin cuz my bow position was not so straight.. And I don't have any product that could get it off... And I don't wantto scratch it with anything.. How can I clean it without harming the wood or the paint?

No need to use fancy things...find an old sock or dish towel and simply put about tablespoon of wood cleaner or floor cleaner with a tablespoon of water to sort of dilute it and it will come right off. if you are willing to spend a couple of dollars go to your music store and ask for violin cleaner, that works great...especially if you have to clean it before performances!

Hi,
All you really need to do, is wipe it off with a DRY washcloth-or your shirt. But NEVER,NEVER use alcohol or any liquid that is not guaranteed by your teacher. To avoid getting rosin on your violin in the future, only rosin five times, up and down.Unless, of course, your teacher does not agree.
Hope it works for you!

allow me merely upload this to diashof's answer - once you're growing to be a lot buildup that is sweet to sparkling the strings each month you're utilising too a lot rosin. you don't desire to rosin the bow anytime you play for 1/2 an hour. try to be able to play for some hours on one application of rosin.

Try rubbing it with a soft cloth, if that doesn't work then use violin cleaner and polish.
You can order some at this company.

Try methylated spirits. Please, but please, NOT white spirit! this will stain the wood.
