South American countries have starting voting in left wing governments who put social issues before free trade. These new left wing governments (Venezuela for example) are very anti America, feel they have been playing the American tune for too long. The Brazilian government is friends with Bush and have the ethanol that you've already been told about. From there on I'm sure the answer to your question is not rocket science, in fact, it will be all too clear. If various SA countries to do not take the American bribes of billions of dollars, I wonder if Bush will invade . . .

Bush is visiting to try and rebuild relations with Latin American countries, which have taken a backseat because of the 'war on terror'. I rate his chances as next to zero. Only a new President and a more even handed approach to its neighbours [especially Cuba] will heal the wounds.

Ethanol can be mass-produced by fermentation of sugar and the U.S. is capable of growing sugar. We also have scientists capable of figuring out how to use it. The Brazilians are protesting Bush. Does anybody like this guy?

He plans on running for President in one of those third world countries after he is washed up here in America and his term is over.

Since people there are much less educated he would have an excellent chance of convincing them he is the man for the job - like he did here in America!
