in us they use size 0 for people who are very petite and small and easly fit into any clothes. i personally dislike this sizing system since zero means non existent, if you're size zero, wouldnt that supposed to mean that you're nothing, that you do not exist, because well... you're zero! weird, i prefer the british one. it being size 4 to them.

this may be an advantage for plus size women as the size goes down 4 sizes? do you think so? i do.

for a start just because the size on the label may be a 0 this does not mean that people who wear this size shove thier fingers down thier throats after every meal! i am 19 an i am a size 0-1 i do not in anyway starve myself or excercise vigerously to be this size, i actually hate being this small as narrow minded people like some who have answered this question think that i do this. i eat an eat but i cant put wieght on as this is the size i am meant to be. if people assume that a 0 is annorexic does this not mean that size 12 and 14 are obese?? there is absolutely nothing wrong with being this size if like me you are healthy. i also think that the shops are making thier sizes bigger ie a size 6 would fit a size 8-10 in some shops and this is wrong as it makes it even harder for us naturally small people to buy clothes.

Size 0 is the American size for a UK size 4. It would probably equate to being a waist 22 if a waist 26 is a size 8. Obviously this is a very small size but some people are actually naturally this small - not everyone who is a size 0 has an eating disorder guys!

Measurements for a US size 0 are typically:

31-32 inch bust
23-24 inch waist
33-34 inch hips.

It is a size 4-6 in the UK.

HTH : )

Being a size zero does NOT mean you have an eating disorder/Are unhealthy.
It is dependant on your age, height and weight.
Your doctor can inform you if you are underweight..and help you with the dress size that you are.

Bad publicity has formed the idea of it automatically being a bad thing.
If you eat well, do regular exercise and it is your natural size.
Don't listen.

Size 4 in UK! Theres a 'size 0' phenomenon existing at the moment that refers to the 'lollypop' people, such as Victoria Beckham, Nicole Ritchie, Teri Hatcher, who have obviously got horrific eating disorders and are influencing the general public to go down the same road. Louise Rednap, formerly of the band Eternal did a documentary on the topic which was televised a few days ago. She shrank down to a size 0 to see what it was like and she went through absolute hell! It doesn't refer to people who are naturally extremely petite who just happen to be a size 0 (of which there are few).

length 0 is a women's clothing length interior the U. S. catalog sizes equipment, believed to be such as a uk length 4 or a ecu length 32. because of the present hype approximately great-slender actresses and fashions, and a public awareness of eating problems, it particularly is frequently incorrectly assumed that length 0 and 00 have been invented to extra healthful a sparkling classification of dangerously skinny women. length 0 is actual designed to cater to those excluded from everyday sizing by skill of arrogance sizing (the prepare of labeling clothing with a decrease length than their measurements could traditionally point out, to attraction to shoppers' arrogance). "length 0" is often used to talk with particularly skinny, emaciated, or shorter persons (exceedingly women), or traits linked with them. This utilization does no longer continuously relate to the clothing length - the "length 0 ban" on the Madrid trend Week had physique mass index as its criterion, no longer physique measurements.

Size Zero is a dress size, zero being the smallest available in the US. I think in the UK it's the same as a size 6 (or 4)

Wearing clothes this size is OK so long as you are fit and well - i.e. it's your natural size.

These people are stupid!! Even numbered clothes are women's sized, odd numbers are junior's sizes. (usually) All clothing manufacturers have slightly different sizing, your best bet would be to try everything on before buying. And you are NOT too skinny by the way, as long as you're healthy. :)
