You know the life of the party, very active in conversation and interaction at work or at play,
But once you get home, your so flippin drained that you crave hours of isolation almost as much as a good 8 hrs of sleep?
and don't even want to dream about being around people let alone actually talking to someone?

It actually sounds like you are more balanced between extrovert and introvert.

A true extroverted person draws energy from the large crowds and excitement. He/She avoids down times, quiet aloneness because it drains him/her

A true introvert "recharges" in quiet and solitude, and avoids the crowds because they drain him/her.

It sounds like you are more balanced (somewhat introverted maybe) and enjoy both, but in a balanced measure. You need an equal (or greater) amount of alone time as you do people time.

To find out, try the website below for a free Myers-Briggs-Jung test online (the only one I have found for free) and see where you fall.

I think you are an introvert like me. Have the same feelings. I have found (based on something I read) that extroverts can see things close up but not far away. Also the prime extrovert I am thinking about cannot seem to abide his own company but wants to socialize all the time, possibly so that he can verify his own existence. Extroverts seem to find the world real, when I question its existence. I was always struck by Satre's saying about hell being other people and seem to spend my whole life getting people out of my head. I think we also can sense (without thinking about it) the psyches of people near us, like a TV set, and we can by so doing absorb temporarily the personality of the other person.

Extrovert. Truly. And I do have the need at times for some down time. This would seem a given, and no, I am NOT a "mix" between the 2. True extroverts do also need to recharge. It's called being human.

I am exactly like this, I love people at work and I talk almost non stop and everyone loves me. But I drive a ways to work, just to be by myself. I also love it when I'm alone at home. I wonder what's wrong with us?
