Why is it that LGB&T is not under Family and Relationships. Is someones Sexuality judged a Culture or Group? I dont think so..... We are all one Family who have perhaps a difference with who we choose to have a Relationship with. Are we not all Family??

Culture/Groups and Family are not opposing ideas, but generally overlapping categories. It is a semantic difference to place LGBT in one or the other, and doesn't really seem to exihibt a bias or prejudice against us.

After all, all culture begins with language, which we each acquire from our mother's lips. All nations begin with a shared culture.

The shared culture of the Queer Nation is remarkably cohesive, even though our family is spread across many official nations and family groups.

Unlike the inescapable groupings of our natal/biological families of 'origin', the groupings of our families of 'affection' are more fluid and often more inclusive.

This is one of the bizarre paradoxes of life, that our adult affections are more humane than our childhood affliations imposed by birth -- in other words -- we can choose who will be our friends as adults, but have little control over who our parents might be . . . .

It has a culture surrounding it, it affects your lifestyle as little or as much as you choose. Last I checked there wasn't a culture around being a father or mother. You don't get "father-towns" spring up in major cities where the fathers can gather in Dad-bars or campaign for father's rights (this last thing they should be doing though)

It has more cultural aspects than family, hence why it is here.
