I don't understand why we just don't make our own ethanol. I know ethanol made from sugar, one of Brazil's main crops, burns longer and is easier to make than the corn ethanol we would make here in the US, but let stop out sourcing everything. Yes it's a step in the right direction, but his agenda, I don't know.

it is so humorous, whilst human beings talk approximately "ethanol" it somewhat is love it somewhat is a few miracle and how petrol is the terrible element. the two have their good facets and their undesirable facets. first of all, the tip product, ethanol, is an identical from corn because it somewhat is from petroleum oil, it somewhat is nonetheless ethanol. the version is the uncooked cloth used to produce it and how lengthy it takes that uncooked cloth to renew itself. thus, corn ethanol is the clean winner. in spite of if the starchy corn mandatory and the quantity of it leaves little growing to be land for the rest. i assume it somewhat is grits for all! basically a wierd theory, does every physique else think of it somewhat is humorous that prohibition got here approximately outstanding around the growth of auto production? according to risk it replaced into the thank you to maintain the white lightning out of the gas tanks and the oil agencies rolling in dough, I advise we gained't have Joe Schmoe making his gas now can we!

The argument I have heard is that corn ethanol will raise beef prices because more will be needed for fuel and place a demand for livestock feed. I agree with the answer above with the sugar beet. Argentina needs no imported oil whatsoever.

Just call me a cynic. I smell a deal that will benefit big oil here. Somehow 'they' will wind up controlling the price. That is the only reason a Shurub would take an interest in this.

I don't trust anything the man does. He's certainly not doing it out of the goodness of his heart or, god forbid, environmental reasons.

More likely he's simply trying to undermine Hugh Chavez and at the same time trying to give the impression of diplomacy.

Wolfowitz probably put him up to it.

I think that no matter what he does, he will continue to be bashed and insulted. Thank you for having an intelligent question with no apparent bias.
