You amaze me.
The only thing Tony Blair and his bunch of crooks have worked hard at is taking the country for a ride.
And to all those who harken back to how things were in the eighties, well I was a Labour supporter then and remained so until Tony Blair began his wrecking spree. I have to say I would gladly go back to the eighties in preference to what we have today.
Now we are taxed to the hilt with nothing to show for it,
Workers nearing retirement have seen their hopes for a decent pension destroyed, true unemployment is sky high,
the NHS is in permanent crisis, the education system a laughing stock. Illegal immigrants are actually being brought back to this country and compensated because they were kicked out.
If you can find any area where the Labour government has been successful other than in filling their own pockets, please let me know.

I used to like him. But then he turned out to be a capitalist socialist. Some would call it hypocrit. He has worked hard to push his ideology through. He has worked hard to better his own bank account and property portofolio.
He has worked hard to create an underclass that thinks the state owns them a living and worked even harder to create a middle class that percentage wise keeps the underclass fed and housed the most.
How hard can it be to waste millions, if not more, of taxpayers money on fat cat civil servants?
He has worked hard for this country. If only he had done it for the country and not to push his own ideology through.
My council tax bill is going over a £1000 next year. And still incompetent NHS or Child Support fat cats will get golden handshakes that could pay my council tax for the rest of my natural life.
So yep, i don't think like you. Maybe once upon a time. No more though.

No you're not he only person, Tony has worked very hard in turning this country around after the state it was left in after the Tories left office. He has worked hard keeping the gungho US president under control thank god that bush will soon be gone! people and press say he is bush's lap dog but if you look at the way he reacts to bush he's only putting on a front, he's a clever man who can manipulate bush and has done some good work. As for back home in the UK some mistakes have been made but a lot of good things have been done for example you can now report benefit fraudsters and some thing is done about them, the bank of England sets interest rate hence no boom and bust like we had under the Tories. the nhs has improved, there is tighter security if it was under David the clown Cameron then we'd be living in a complete police state! So 3 cheers for Tony lets hope he has a good retirement and by the sounds of it he could be the next secretary general for the UN!

Blair and Brown are very scary people.Unfortunately the opposition dont seem to scare them[unfortunately for us that is!!]It is true that we will get the government we deserve and our apathy will probably result in ''same again please''!!We hear every day that the economy is very strong so why do we seem to be getting poorer all the time with more and more stealth taxation?By the way this doesn't effect that part of the population who dont contribute to the economy in the first place but by way of their vote, can and maybe will, keep the Blair/Brown project going on and on.Would anyone be surprised if Blair ended up in the US after he eventually steps down, and remember he still has to write/publish his MEMOIRS yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See you have changed his name, isn't it bLIAR?
His staff do most of the work, he is just the front man. Watch him on telly, he has been educated in body language to try to come over as being honest and hard working, but he still gives himself away!
He has done little that is good for the country, unlike the BRILLIANT Margaret Thatcher.
Think he will go down in history as the only Prime Minister to get just about EVERYTHING Wrong!!!

I liked him - he has been shown to be a liar and a sham. The invasion of Iraq was not only misguided it was illegal and he should be held accountable for it. There was no sanction from the UN and no premise in International Law for the adoption of the precautionary principle. Every reason that they have given for going to war has turned out to be false.
He should go now. He should have gone a long time ago.

I liked him at first, too. We were fed up with the Tories, and corruption, and New Labour seemed the answer, even to non-Labour people like me. It promised a fairer, more honest government, but turned out to be all gloss & no substance. It wasn't a good sign when his lot stopped going to the barber's in the Houses of Parliament & started having designer haircuts, that sort of thing. You know what they say about power corrupting, and absolute power corrupting absolutely.
I have wondered about his judgment, looking at the people he has put in powerful positions; Prescott as second-in-command? Campbell & Mandelson, Margaret Beckett: do they do a good job? Trustworthy? (Out of all of them, I'd only trust Beckett, but not to do a good job!) A lot seem to be struggling to do their jobs. Not too keen on some elements of Chrie's personality either. And as for Blair not standing up to Bush, I have no respect - he should have remained friendly, but put the UK first.
Tony seems to have been struggling for a while. His government are very good at putting new regulations in place, and little else. He has given in to the EU making stupid, restrictive and downright destructive laws & regulations (read the Telegraph each Saturday for a depressing round-up), and to the US, and seems to have sucked up to 'friends' like the Italian PM Berlusconi.
The only PM I have trusted has been John Major. Other Labour MPs who seem genuine are few & far between, such as Jack Straw, & Claire Short. Blair seemed to sincerely want to make Britain better, but then there crept in an element of snouts in the trough, and now all he seems concerned with is looking to leave on a high and make a good retirement for himself.

He has worked very hard for the good of the country,
Could you handle the range of pressure and work.
50% of his time is taken up countering the dirty tricks of the media in this country, just who owns that anyway.
Trial by media, accusation, guilt and condemnation take about two days, there is never a retraction

His government have generally done a good job. Contrast and compare to the record of John Major's government.
Interesting how many people are unable to answer without using foul language. Shows what an ignorant and ill informed bunch they are.

I have never voted for New Labour, and have only ended up paying more tax under them.
He started off ok, but i lost any respect for him when we had the fuel crises in which he appeared on TV basically telling us "You may have voted for me, but it doesnt mean i have to listen to you"
