well I was at camp. I was so excsited to see luke when I got home I could not wait at all but on the way home I receved news that my hamster was dead I was so upset for a why'll I could not go to his grave I would cry so hard I. finally could but to question still haunted me how and why did he died for I could not answer this question on my own so I decited to type you guys to help me to answer one of the most hardest questions to answer.

The average lifespan of a hamster is 2 years.
I'm sorry for your loss. It doesn't matter how big or small your pet is, but it carries a big impact on your sorrow. In the process, please stop blaming yourself for your hamster's demise. There are other hamster's out there that need a home and you have all the time in the world to provide a new home for a new hamster or guinea pig.
Read up and research them first before purchasing. A LIFE is still a LIFE.

Hamsters generally don't live more than 2 years.
- How old was he?
- Was he given the proper diet?
- What he given the proper means of exercise and enrichment? - Was his bedding changed frequently enough as to not allow bacterial growth within his housing?
- Was he subjected to too much stress?
There are many, many things that could have happened not to exclude the fact that he very well may have just reached his life expectancy.

well..i have hamsters too..mostly hamster died coz they already old as they could only live up to 2-3 yrs. Is the bottle and the food bowl empty? if it does mayb they died of starvation or exhaustion. Does it live alone? if its not then i guese they got in a fight and the nose bleed and harden and block the nose..is ur hamster cage clean? if its not,mayb ur hamster died bcoz of some illness or disease. question urself aight..well good luck on that!

hamsters only live for about 2 to 3 years ive had loads and they only last for that time

maybe he got an infectious disease and could not cope with it so his body gave up and his immune system too and you know he is dead now . I am sorry for you r hamster I hope you would get another one soon and forget your heart pain . Take care . . . .

2 of my hamsters just suddenly died. strange things happen i guess.

Maybe your hampster died because he just got sick. Hampsters gerbils and rats carry alot of diseses.
