The England team is, for example, sponsored by Nationwide Building Society. Why does the Nationwide logo not appear on the England shirts?

It's tradition. Anyway international teams don't work on the basis of money (unlike clubs), and they don't need so much sponsorship money to buy players etc. So it's not important to have a sponsor on the shirt.

It would look a bit naff. Maybe FIFA have a ruling against it.

Its on all the training kits and tracksuits though.

National teams do have sponsors in reply to the message below because Nationwide are the England teams sponsor.

I dont think National teams are sponsored as they are funded by the appropriate football association.
