Virtue
In India the opposite of paap is punya, but whereas sin means the same as paap, virtue is slightly different from punya.
In India, by doing a good deed you "earn" punya, by doing good you do not "earn" virtue. You do good because you are virtuous.
We can not blame the British for "leaving" one word. They left virtue also. They left the whole dictionary.
We should stop blaming everything on the British. I remember that while I was travelling in a Third class coach in India I heard one gentleman say that the British taught us all bad things. He said that they taught us to eat onions and meat and drink tea. What should I say about this?

firstly what is the word sin means? that which we do against our conscious is according to me SIN In this world nobody knows the logic of what is right and what is wrong there is only a thin line between the right and the wrong which has become so confusing over the years that people are lost in finding the roots in today's date. So the ultimate thought is that which we do against our conscious is sin if we take life like that than we can live peacefully

I see that the answer virtue has been named already. To support this answer I suggest that one must substitute sin for what is really its best synonym: Vice. Though this word is purely the opposite of Virtue, it is still noteworthy that sin and vice can be interchangeable in numerous instances, vice is usually reserved for the more notorious and serious of sins. For there are seven virtues and the seven vices, that is, the seven "deadly sins".

It's certainly a question for theology.
Possibly the opposite of 'sin' is 'grace'.
If you are free of sin, you are in 'a state of grace'.
If the word sin is referring to the state of being separated from God. Grace is the opposite of sin.
