Why my ad hoc network doesn't work both way?

I just set up my laptop and desktop connected wireless through an ad hoc network. But after turning on file sharing for both computers, only my laptop able to see my desktop sharing folders but not the other way around. Even turn on different file sharing on my laptop my desktop can't see none of them in My Network Places. Both computers are on same workgroup.

What do I need to do to make my Desktop recognize the file sharing on my Laptop and access them?

Your laptops Firewall is stopping your desktop from accessing the shared folders on your laptop. You will need to configure the firewall on the laptop to allow network access.
