you get free eye tests. i just got mine testes 2 weeks ago. if you need a presciption, the optician will give you a form to fill out and send away and they decide whether or not you are exempt from paying. the little exemption card only does medicine and dental work

I don't think eye test are included with the exemption certificate but the best way to check it to ring up maybe Specasvers or something and ask them if they do free check ups under NHS MEC.

Its called a MAT B1 certificate and your midwife gives it to you at around 26 weeks. It entitles you to free prescriptions, dental and eye tests, and money towards glasses if you need them.
You should give a copy of this certificate to your employer too.
Ask your midwife for one.

Don't think you get free eye tests, but you do get free prescriptions and for a year after birth as well.

You need to get a form from your doctor and no eye tests are not included as pregnancy does not normally affect your eyes.

No you don't get free eye tests I tried! They said there is not yet evidence to suggest your eyes are affected during pregnancy so therefore the government won't givey ou free treatment! As if we don't have enough to cope with ay girls?!
