Just a theory which is widely believed- hence the reason why the current German Government limits its military spending- whenever it does, it causes panic, and insults many.

Ok, first there were many more factors involved in the WWs than which country was involved. After WWI Germany was left in a horrible state. Their economy was ruined and they're cities and towns were in complete disarray. The people looked to blame someone because that's what people, not just Germans, do. If you can blame someone, if you can come up with an easy problem to identify (no matter how completely off the mark it was) you feel like you're in a better position to fix it.

So, on top of that, along came this incredibly charismatic person who gives name to the problem, affixes blame, and offers a seemingly easy and effective solution. He was crazy as all heck, of course, but good at swaying opinion.

What you are suggesting is the exact same thing, well, with less suffering on your part. You can afford a computer or at least have access to one. That's far more than the German people had pre-WWII. They had little access to things like food and heat.

(I am not justifying their actions, please understand. Genocide is deplorable beyond words, bigotry one of the most awful of human traits, and war pretty much the worst way to solve a problem.)

Nonetheless you are letting some fear (fear of world war, maybe?) cloud your judgement and you're looking for someone to blame so you've found a seemingly easy target.

So could Germany initiate a third world war?

Well, yes, they could but any nation could. Really, truly any nation. Botswana could. Switzerland could. Maybe they want to impose neutrality on everyone. Anything is possible.

But Germany is one of the least likely nations to do so at this point. First that bit of history is still pretty fresh and raw for them. Unlike many of us they actually are still learning from history instead of forgetting those lessons and randomly invading certain nations on false premises out of blind fear.

Second, with the reunification of the country, their independence from oversight by the US, France, England, and the Soviet Union, and with their current state of politics and economy war would not be in their interest. Healing from WWII and the Cold War and rebuilding their nation and, yes, getting along with the rest of the world is more in their interests.

This is true of any nation involved in WWII and the Cold War. Some countries, though, aren't quite as open to learning this lesson.

BTW: Germany limits its military spending because its people realize that it isn't the best use of the money. Crazy things like education help make a nation strong far more effectively that military might. A monkey can be taught to shoot a gun. People can learn why not to.

In fairness to Germany ... it takes more than ONE nation or more than ONE event to cause ANY war especially a world war........

other factors come into it... take WW1
you had conflict in the Balkans ... and the assassination od the archduke Franz Ferndinand ... if THAT didn't take place would WW1 have occured and IF it had of anyway ... Might it have taken a different path .....

If the treaty of Versailles had not been so influenced by Clemenceau ( sorry re spelling ,, part of brain controlling spelling is comatose) and not so humiliating and devasting ( whether it was deserved or not) towards Germany ... perhaps the bitterness of the humiliated germans would not have helped the climb to power of Hitler..
If Europe and Britain had not suffered so horrendously during WW1 and that contributed to the rise of the USA as a power perhaps things would have been different.
If Japan had of been given the same respect and credits for being an ally during WW1 as other allies MAYBE they wouldn't have become involved.
If the Bolshoviks ( oops sorry re spelling again) had not of toppled the Czar ..

I can not really give you a simple answer as I believe ( as I have written ) that no one nation or event is responsible for causing such a war.. I guess the climate around the world both politically and economically needs to be also taken into account... and at THIS point of time ..I don't think we have to be concerned re Germany and their possible involvement...

sorry my answer couldn't be better :|

you state that germany has caused two world wars, i don't know if you ever read a history book, but the second world war was caused by the actions of the victorious in the first world war. The treaty of versailles.
Currently germany has too much invested in not causing a third world war ie the european union as well as france.
look elsewhere for the protagonists of a possible thrd world war. Famine or energy resources might actually cause the next one.

They weren't fully responsible for the world wars besides a world war involves many countries so everyone has their share. These days let's not hope there is another world war and try not to be to bias when it comes to singling out a certain culture, everyone is human.
