Personally, i am a fan of well thought out words. If thought is portrayed well enough then words will be captivating and eloquent.
Otherwise, silence can be a much more eloquent thing for those who are not so versed in language and elaboration in one.

IF words are used as methods of communication, then use other forms - that is why Jains and Buddist monks practice silence. Silence increases the power of sensing the need for other sensory parts...
for example a person without visions uses more of their hearing capability and sensing capability to understand their environment.
Similarly... a person without words uses more of other forms of communication to express.
-Love is experience more in silence
-When in extreme anger a fathers stare is more effective than his yells or beating.
-Silent prayers add more value than loud worship
And a silent baby is loved more than a crying baby
But here i am using words to express the value of silence :-)

Depends on what is told as words - many times people shoot their mouth that it was better kept their mouth shut. If words are intelligent, then words are eloquent, or else the stupidity would be exposed.

There is an old adage: "It is better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool, than to open it and remove all doubt." So I guess it matters what you say when your mouth opens.
