If you are referring to the AutoComplete, then to turn on or off auto complete in Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options, click the Content tab, and then click the AutoComplete button. Use this to either switch on or switch off auto complete feature!!
But if you are referring to the address bar then, you can remove an item from the list of suggestions by clicking the item and then pressing the DELETE key.
