I imagine this would depend upon your culture.
In India and the Middle East, and most of the Far East, such familiarity in public, even between a married couple, is frowned upon.
When I was in India last summer, my husband only put his arm around me in public at night when we were not in crowds. LOL there are crowds everywhere in India. As a Western woman, I had to stop myself a few times from the way we express love in public with the occasional caress or light kiss!
If I wanted to thank him for a gift he bought me while we were out, I did it verbally on the spot. The thanks was a bit more personal when we were alone. When he dropped me off at the airport, we shook hands. THAT was tough!
It is like that in many parts of the world.
When in Rome... I think it is fine. I get all weepy when I see an old old couple still holding hands. yes I think it is fine where it is culturally appropriate.

i think its beautiful. Whats so wrong about showing the world your love for each other. It was only the other day i saw an elderly couple, probably in their 80s walking hand in hand and thought how beautiful it looked. Thats the trouble with today, you dont see enough of it!

y should that be odd,it just reflects that they r comfortable enough with each other to be like that in public. Its a gesture of togetherness and security.Men may term it being too mushy but its this one life u have then why restrict the flow of affection. Each one to their own and walking arm in arm will surely get them some smiles from people who understand that felling.

depends on which country you are. In the muslim world may be wrong.
But it is good most of the times but preferably not to show because others might eye you badly.
if you want to hold do it in private thats more fun too

It's not weird for a married or unmarried couple to do this although it might be hard to walk!

i think it is great...why not show their feelings...putting their hand around the waist just means he cares and they still show them they care...only cause your married you do not have to lesson the nice things in your marriage..keep the spark in the marriage.....
