I posted a question to gather feedback on something I wanted other's opinions on. A rude member posted something that had nothing to do with my question but rather appeared only for the sake of insulting me personally, so I reported them for it. Yahoo's response to that was to give *me* a violation for abuse and delete my question. Unbelievable!

So to answer my own question... Yes. They are.

Thank you for the wonderful question

i think yahoo! must be taking some heat as i see that the violations format has changed..but i stopped giving stars or writing violations and if i get anything from Yahoo! in my e-mail i just delete it without reading it as its all goofy chit and i am like you..it seems Yahoo! is blatantly incompetent...
but really..is not this just a machine we are talking too?
well, it seems like talking to yahoo is like trying to get our government to do anything positive...Thanks again for the great question..its refreshing to hear someone vent their frustrations..i know i am greatly irked at the yahoo format.

Yeah your questions get deleted if someone wants to be stupid and report you for nothing, but people who post questions and answers purposely to offend others are able to do it until their account is deleted, at which point they just get a new one. Reporting doesn't stop the trolls and makes us lose points for nothing. It'd be great if there was no reporting and people could say whatever they want. Haven't they heard of self-censorship?

Don't generate things please. You are right and I agree with you up to a level. I believe Yahoo should categorize it's users. I believe it's because of the different ages using this side.

Yes you are correct but on the larger scale they aren't running the country, on second thought never mind.

yahoo is fine for dumb questions, like "why won't my DVD player work?!?!" but don't ever ask anything controversial. don't rock the boat, otherwise yahoo will quickly crush you.
