There arent many differences between the U.S evo9 and the MR
However, the evo MR's that are sold in japan have MAJOR differences.
In Japan it is known as the MR FQ400. It comes with 400hp stock and it tops out at 180mph.
It 0-60 time is 3.4 seconds from the factory.
The japan MR FQ400 can easily out run a Lambo at the track.
All for only $34,000...........God I wish I didnt have to import mine, everyone should be able to buy one here!

Nothing really. Minor details include cosmetics: JDM styled MR taillights, 'vortex generator' above the rear window, blacked out BBS wheels and MR badging. The changes to the guts are basically the same with modification to the suspension and maybe the brakes. but overall they're the same. the first MR version to come out on the Evo here in the states had 285 while the regular evo had 275-280. but midway through the Evo 8's run they pumped up the power so that they're even with the MR. but MR's are fairly easy to replicate so you're better off with the basic Evo 9

ok lets dispell some myths really quickly. with the MR you get an aluminum roof panel hood panel and trunk lid. the bbs rims on the MR are 40% lighter than the standard evo 9 rims. six speed manual gear box on the MR, the MR also gives you 20LBS of boost as compared to 19 in the other evo incarnations. they basically lightened the vehicle wherever they could. the MR weighs almost 200 LBS less than the standard evo 9. sorry evo 7 whatever you do not know your evos that well.
