I am changing my energy supplier for the first time. I've got lots of quotes online. I only use electricity, we don't have a gas in my building. I'd like to know...:
-What motivated you to choose your energy provider (eg. loyalty card points/ capped prices/ green energy etc)?
-Who do you think represents best value for money?

Thanks!

Powergen charged my old mum £350 for a quarters worth of gas and electric even though she was on the age concern budget, so we changed to N Power, were still getting letters from Powergen saying "welcome" and more letters from N Power saying "sorry to lose you" even though we made lotsa calls to faraway filipino/indian call centres, they are all NUTS! BUT actually our change was for a better deal, according to the net the best deals are supposed to be gas from British gas and electric from Scottish power but may change in 10 minutes ha ha

Because they're all as rubbish as each other i'd stick with my local supplier. I say this because if anything went wrong and they had to visit your property they probably wouldn't charge you for it.
If you lived in, say, London and your supplier was Scottish Power then they'd either have to send a man down from Scotland or hire one in the area you live. Any charge incurred would be passed on to you.

EDF. They have been the main inexpensive as quickly as I signed up a pair of years in the past, not sure if the case now yet could desire to nonetheless be. British gas (specific they furnish electrical energy too) are low value yet once you watch Watchdog or study human beings's undesirable stories on the internet you would be responsive to they are entire scumbags.
