They don't have any more social power than men. Men, for the most part, don't give a f**k about people they don't know or trust. And women care too much about acceptance. Obviously these characteristics vary, but that basically sums of the social spectrums between both sexes.

That is an intelligent question - but I am not sure I can answer it that way since my opinon is a little bit complicated... I think that woman probably 'should' have the social power and in some ways they probably still do......but before you think that this is a man-hating view dont't because I am not a feminist.....
In a one car family it is usually that man who makes the care decisons - and a woman who makes the furniture/decorating decisions. A man should be the head - financial provider - leader of the family. The woman makes tons of decisions though - maybe more than him, but they are smaller ones. They are both important
but not the same.
I think that if the women who are too
career-driven or too selfish, just don't have the time to be be fully in tune with what women have traditionally devoted their lives to, and they are better at making male-type decisions, but they should not be a social influence over other women.
Traditional women - mothers, caregivers, are and 'should be' the social leaders. Is this taking a step backwards? - yes indeed. No house or society can be built without a solid foundation and traditionally it is women who have held it all together. If women are allowed to be women and mothers, without any of the guilt, or 'lazy insults' or discrimiations then they are they ones who should lead society by their influence on their husbands and their children. This is the most important part of society.....
Not in politics unless they are career women - and they must be viewed as such. Some men do like career women - especially their money. So have them, but do not let those women hurt the rest of us by setting the standard for us.

Men have more the power to act upon a situation directly (in a visible way), whereas women have more of an influential power (that is probably not as visible, but is just as real as power just the same)|

OH YES. But unfortunately we dont all use it. If we banned together we could have SSSOOO much power..but sometimes women are their own worse enemy. I think its getting better though.
