i don't agree...
success cannot be measured this way...
the quality of the work (perspiration) is more important than the quantity. you can put 50 or 60% of work, but if you are focused, you can be more successful than an unefficient person working 24/7...

The percentages keep differing according to the situation. All the people who put 99% perspiration will not get same results. There is some thing called right time right things. Catch the opportunity when it knocks your door. Otherwise any amount of perspiration will not work. Also results of perspiration will depend on quality of inspiration.

Because how would you succeed in life if you wouldn't do anything? That's why it's 99% perspiration. But maybe it's just 80%. 10% attitude and conduct- maybe in yourself, to your family, and towards other people. The remainig 10% will do either as inspiration and/or luck. You need those of course. To kick you into work mode.

The original phrase was meant to make the point that hard work is the most important element on the road to success. But I think the percentage ratio is a little off realistically. You have to continue to be inspired to want to continue to work hard.

People who agree do so because they've become successful through sweating with blood and hard work.
But think again.
Why would these people have worked that hard (perspiration) if they weren't encouraged by their own dreams and motives--hopes. That's their inspiration.
In conclusion, that's practically wrong.
