Ovulation is when you release an egg. On a normal cycle you will release one egg and it only happens on one day of your cycle. It normally occurs 14 days before your next period. This is becasue the luteal phase is almost always 14 days long, the follicular phase (day 1 of your cycle to ovulation day) is what varies most. If your luteal phase is less than 12 days you would have a luteal phase defect, and your chances of having a baby are slim.

then you definately are ovulating 10-11 days earlier your era. not each and every physique has a 14 day luteal area (the time between ovulation and the beginning up of your next cycle). My luteal area varies slightly, from 12-14 days, yet each and every thing I study says it somewhat is not meant to, yet it somewhat is purely the way it somewhat is for me. you're generic!

Go to http://www.mymonthlycycles.com and put in your period info and it will calculate when you will be fertile and ovulating plus it keeps tracks of your periods. It will even email you ahead of time to alert you of your upcoming fertile/ovulation and period dates. It is a free and very helpful website.
Ovulation is the release of an egg from ovaries.
