I have heard of free and low-cost spay/neuter programs, but I"m thinking of sponosred efforts where people are actually given money to spay or neuter their pets. Kind of like a gun buy-back program. I'm all for educational efforts, but money talks...

Yes. There are different programs & people who will pay for the spaying/nuet. Actors & Others for Animals is one the Humane Soc. in every case I've presented will help or they will tell you who to call for asst. These orginizations useully will each grant you a certain amount each, making sure that one will have enough in the end. You'll have to be adament & will not take no for an answer. Don't give up the grants are there, but you must work for it.

No I have never heard of one, just the humane society offering discounts. Besides..cats and dogs (rarely) kill unlike guns. People should be proud to be responsible pet owners and should calculate the cost of spay/neutering when they adopt or purchase any animal.

No I've never heard of anything like that. It' sounds like a program that pays people to get off drugs. Something that has move likely hood of failing. I have heard of programs that pay for pet health care. They give you a voucher to have your pet taken care of. I don't know, that program you speak of sounds like it would fail. I think they would get a lot of people using their money for personal gain. That's why many states no longer pay for blood donations.

I've never heard of such a program but i think it's a great idea. i have a lot of people in my area who are not really too poor to afford spaying but they say they are (but they're really too lazy). this would get them off their butts and get the problem remedied.
