Yes... on the bottoms of my shoes in kindergarten...along with out names, and 'if found please return to'... info...sole writting she called it.

...Except my older sister thought she'd help...and put it on the bottoms of my rubber boots... only she did it while I sat wearing them..and naturally got it backwards...

No, distinguishing left from right was easy. The yellow one went on the left and the green one went on the right. She did have to write TGIF (Toes Go In First) on them though. That part was a little confusing...

I was always taught from a young age to hold out your hands and make and L with both hands. Your left was the side the made the L facing the correct way. My kids have mastered this one even before starting grade school.

No need, she always followed me to make sure that I could have assistance if needed. This only went on until I was 23 years old though. By then, I pretty much had it sorted out.

no but I had a chainman once that we wrote that on his boots then when I was correcting his location I'd say look at your boots go towards the one with the straight line with a curly line 2 feet...... didn't help him too much though...


Sadly this is actually a true story..and he had done a stint as a US Marine...nice guy but totally useless on the crew

yes, and you know how some retarded people make an L with their left hand to say loser? well she taught that to me so i would know the left hand makes the L and the right hand doesn't. i still use it sometimes when i forget which is which. ♥

No. The L and R stood for "lower" and "raise" so I could learn to successfully put one foot in front of the other.
