Manimal and Automan (late 80's/early 90's). I think they only run for a few episodes before they were axed

oh god yes loved automan about a police man Walter Nebicher who created an crime fighting programme which generated a hologram which was Automan who was known to everyone else as Otto J Man.
Automan had a sidekick called "Cursor" which could draw and make real dimensional objects like cars, planes or helicopter.
The best was the Automan car which could turn at a 90 degree angle, Automan was unaffected but i still laugh seeing Walter pressed up against the window suddenly, the car was in real life a Lamborghini Countach.
There were 13 episodes made but only 12 were shown between 1983 and 1984
Manimal was good but also short lived only 8 episodes, with Dr Jonathan Chase being able to transform himself into any animal this was also voted worst science fiction show ever on American TV

Manimal was better... i wanted to turn into a dolphin like he did once... never done it yet. ;-(

Manimal a TV series about a man who can metatransform into a panther, eagle and a snake if I remember correctly. It ran for less than a season. Automan is about a man with the means via technology to transform his motorcycle or car into a superpowerful vehicle...

Manimal was really crappy !!!
Automan was cool, he had that little star called "Cursor", which turned in several mechanical devices like helicopters, cars, etc...
I remember one episode where Automan went to a strip club and stripped, so everybody saw the "light suit", hahaha !!!

I remember Manimal I really enjoyed that as a kid even though it was a bit creepy watching his eyes when he changed into a hawk.
Jonathan Chase was a British college professor at New York University who had the unusual ability to transform into any kind of animal. He used his powers to battle crime alongside pretty policewoman Brooke and Vietnam-war pal Ty. Runtime: 60 min (8 episodes), plus pilot (90 mins)

YES I loved those shows used to think they were so great especially the way manimal's hand used to go all pulsating as he started to turn into an animal! Thanks for the reminiscing
