whenever i go to a site "let's say wikipedia"... it closes it automatically within a few seconds... why is that?

Make sure you also set your virus scanner to scan everyday at a certain time. Also, try Firefox as well as Opera. IE is known for its gapping security holes.

I think you are experiencing a virus called ID 10 T. I suggest looking in the search engine for a remover.

IE 7 sucks when you have XP. It's just good with Vista. Get Firefox instead. http://www.mozilla.com

I think the problem is that your experiencing the ever lovely PEBCAK error. Its a normal error with Internet Explorer.

You should contact microsoft and tell them you are experiencing this error.

You have a virus, i have heard of that one.

Get a virus scanner, like AVG Free (http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1)

Also, have you tried Firefox? (www.firefox.com)
