The previous answerers have a very parochial view of the world. In Europe, and about half the states of the USA, there's no problem. Only 24 US states prohibit sex between cousins, and seven more make certain stipulations (genetic counselling and the like). In many parts of Africa and Asia, cousin marriage is considered an excellent idea. And the risk of birth defects is far smaller than most people believe.
As for your specific question - you sound like Beatrice and Benedict, both too proud to admit your love and waiting for the other to make the first move. What's more important - your pride or your happiness?

Like they say "Cousins make dozens" But look at this point of view would you let uor child fall in love thier cousin! No so just remember that if people find out your screwed and the "so called love" you had will be gone! So why don't you go clubing with a couple of friends a go hguy shopping to get the thought of loving your cousin out of your head!

I totally agree with Phillip K. Society is very closed minded when it comes to these type of relationships. Einstein and Darwin both married cousins and had extremely intelligent children. And there is only 2-3% risk to have genetic complications with the offspring.
20% of the worlds population is made up of cousin marriages; and in the bible it is acceptable to marry and love a cousin.
The word INCEST refers to parents, sibilings, uncles, aunts and grandparents...NOT cousins!
So go ahead, If you love him tell him, and if he loves you back...why not give it a chance? best of luck

What kind of love are we talking about? Familiar love if so, just tell him. If its carnal love, you should move on because its not right and can cause all sorts of problems. Not just social ones but major ones with any offspring you might produce.

Yuck! I'm sorry, that just sounds gross. I have some cousins that I think are attractive, but I don't look at them sexually or anything like that. I think you should skip the family reunions until you get over this crush. This can seriously affect your family, please think about this.
