its a normal feeling so dont worry, many woman get parinoid during pregnancy, even i do, im only 11 weeks but im still scared coz my baby is soo small only 4.18cm but 3 weeks ago it was 2.3cm, so im a little scared but they say that it is fine, coz its moving. its normal, just try to breathe and relax, it will go away i promise, when you hold your baby for the first time you will have no idea on why you were so parinoid. good luck and congratulations

Oh yeah, this is very normal. I'm exactly the same way, although my paranoia borders on insanity.
There's nothing wrong with you. As time goes by you'll get more optimistic - especially when you start to realise nothing will go wrong.
See your doctor on your scheduled appointments and try to relax. A lot of stress isn't good for you or the baby (yeah like I can talk! lol)
And try not to listen to other people. 'Normal' as pregnancy may be, it doesn't always feel normal to the woman who's carrying the baby. It feels decidedly abnormal if you ask me... even if you want the baby, and want it to stay put, everything feels kinda out of whack with your body. You're carrying a child, it's a huge adjustment for you and your body.
Congratulations and good luck!

This is completely normal. This is one of those little gifts a woman is given to help keep her child safe. It's like a defense mechanism. You have a heightened sense of awareness. You may even notice that you can smell everything around you. You see things flash out of the corner of your eye. And you can feel things better than ever before. It's all normal. It helps you keep you and your baby safe from harm. Mother's intuition as they say. Don't be alarmed if you feel this way after the baby is born. It's all for the same reason. It's just your body telling you ,you have something precious to protect.

I always worried that something could happen when I was pregnant to hurt the baby. I refused to sleep on my stomach the moment I knew I was pregnant. I worried until I felt the first kick and I think that's pretty normal. We know we are pregnant but don't truly feel pregnant until we feel the baby moving or kicking inside of us. And wow, what a feeling it is...you still have some weeks before you get there but towards the end you will wish they stopped moving so you could actually sleep. I remember those early morning kicks that woke me up from a dead sleep and left me restless. It's totally normal to worry the first time around. Congrats!

All women have fears, especially during first pregnancy. And also level of anxiety may be higher because of pregnancy hormones. Right now (with my second pregnancy) I realize I am slightly depressed but I don't pay too much attention to it because I know it is due to hormones and it is not my normal self. So one thing you can do is fight the bad thoughts with the knowledge that those thoughts are caused by pregnancy hormones and are in 99% of the cases not grounded at all. And then, until proven otherwise, accept that your pregnancy will be among that huge percentage of pregnancies that go well and finish well. Trust you doctor too - if s/he says everything is going well, then it is so.

You are being completely normal and I think it would be wrong if you didn't feel concerned.
I am 6 weeks and I am already attached to this little being inside of me! But you need to relax, there are experts out there taking care of you and would alert you at the first sign of a problem. Stress is no good for the baby.

I am 22 1/2 weeks and I pray everyday that the Lord won't allow anything to happen to my baby. I do get afraid from time to time, but to keep my self calm I just have faith in my prayers. My mother said when she was carrying me she always worried that something was gonna happen to me. So I think its normal to act this way. i guess its the maternal instincts kicking in. Good luck Mom! You'll be fine God bless!

I wasnt paranoid with my first but this time I am so worried, I dont know why because Ive gone through it all before and everything was fine then so why shouldnt it be this time? I think it is just a normal thing to be worried, ask your midwife about it and she should be able to give you some guidance.
Good luck

you know the "motherly instincts" everyone talks about, this is it.
Welcome to the new world of endless worry.
Everyone is right though you do need to relax, try to enjoy every little moment of pregnany ,its a wonderful experience.
Try to focus on the good things and worry about the bad when and if they do happen, if you dont you will be running around the rest of your life stressed out
good luck and congratulations
