Are you a cynical person? Why?

I want to know what makes you cynical, if indeed you are.

Lot's of people tell me I am, but I like to think of myself more of a realist - I don't let emotion get in the way of making decisions and forming judgments. To me, non-cynical people are a bunch of deluded do-gooders, trying to gain other peoples favour for one thing or another. Pansyass poosies

The blogbaba is about as cynical as a human being can be. I am cynical because about the only thing you can be certain of is the more powerful and influential a person is, the more likely they are to lie. It seems treachery and dishonesty are rewarded while decency and integrity are ridiculed and abused. In an age where volumes of information is at your finger tips, truth is lost.

In my tiny little world honor is still a highly valued possession, and success is not worth the price of integrity.

I am cynical because the vast majority of people are clueless to what is happening right in front of their face, but have an opinion about the other side of the world.

I am cynical because people who should be intelligent enough to understand manipulation, can still be manipulated by their emotions instead of their reason.

I am cynical because it appears evil is overwhelming good in our world.

But I refuse to despair. I cling to faith and thank God every day for the blessings I enjoy, and do what all men of conscience do. I live each day as a testimony to God's wonder.

I am indeed. I dont look for the good in people because if you have to look for it, they're obviously not a very good person. Im a cynic because of all the horrible **** in the world, because I think that most people are conforming, spoiled little brats who whine when they dont get their way and throw their problems onto other people, and because happy people irritate me...sometimes.

Yes, possibly because my dad is very much also. And, the world sucks, what's not to be cynical about?
