Just tonight my disc drawer wouldn't open and then when it finally did I placed a game disc inside and closed it. Now its showing a "07" on upper left of screen and "Contact service" in 9 different languages. The eject button is also flashing red & green, What has happened and how to fix? Is my only option to send it in to X-Box and pay thier $79.90 fee?

By the way this is an original X-Box not a 360

It seems so. Try unplugging the Xbox from the power for about 30 seconds.
Reconnect everything firmly and try the game again.
If that didn't help, you're out of luck, as everything inside the Xbox is not repairable by the ordinary man.
Bite the bullet and send it to Microsoft for repair, or get yourself a new 360...
